About Your Coach
Growing up on the St. Lawrence River and spending summers on one of the 1000 Islands, boating was an intrinsic part of my every day life. At age six I was running a 9.9 hp open boat and by my teens I was sleeping on and operating our family's Coronet Oceanfarer cruiser. My love of the water later motivated me to pursue marine Search and Rescue, including the Canadian Coast Guard, where training and experience opened me up to the critical importance of boating safety and skills. Through the years I achieved numerous certifications in Search and Rescue, Power Squadron Piloting, Marine Radio Operations, Navigation, Vessel Safety Examiner, and Life Saving. I am a resident of Charlotte, Vermont and serve our community as a 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Dispatcher, Lake Champlain Basin Program Field Supervisor, Congregational Church member and Charlotte Fire and Rescue coxswain on Marine 3.
